Ann Bowering, CEO of the NSX, approached us to update the brand to better present its unique identity. Working with the existing logo mark, we introduced a modern and fresh colour palette. We created a strategy focused on transparency and flexibility for the future.

The National Stock Exchange of Australia is a Sydney based exchange founded in 1937. Now Australia’s second-largest exchange, the NSX lists companies valued below $50 million. In 2016 the NSX began an ambitious transformation program while repositioning its brand as a global stock exchange.

Primary palette includes financial blues but also warm tones and soft pastels. We used this colour combination to soften the corporate look. Which gives the brand flexibility to become more dynamic over time.

We created a clean, digital feel using Gotham as the primary typeface. Gotham references architectural signage of the mid-twentieth century in its letterforms. This as a subtle nod to the NSX’s beginnings in 1937.

After the success of the rebrand, the NSX asked us back to design and build their public website. Working with the existing back-end, we refreshed the site to be bold and engaging.
